The analysis of sacrum and coccyx length measured with computerized tomography images depending on sex

Abstract Background Sex estimation is vital in establishing an accurate biological profile from the human skeleton, as sex influences analysis of other elements both Physical and Forensic Anthropology Legal Medicine. The present study was conducted to analyze differences between sacrum coccyx length based on measurements calculated with computed tomography (CT) images. One hundred case images (50 females, 50 males) who were ages 25 admitted by emergency department September 2018 June 2019 underwent CT included study. Eighteen lengths, 4 curvature 2 regions measured sagittal, coronal transverse planes orthogonal adjustment for three times. Results It stated that mean anterior posterior sacral length, sacrococcygeal coccygeal area, lengths lines 1, 2, 3 4, first vertebra sagittal longer males when compared females (p < 0.05). noted parameter highest discrimination value receiver operating characteristic (ROC) area (AUC = 0.88/Acc 0.82).
